Whole-Body Averaged Absorbed Power in Insects Exposed to Far-Field Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields

Insects are exposed to environmental radio frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMFs), which partially absorbed by their body. This absorption is currently unknown for most insect types. Therefore, numerical simulations were performed study the far-field of RF-EMFs different types at frequencies between 2 and 120 GHz, (expected be) used in (future) wireless communication. The done using anatomically accurate as well spheroid models insects. maximum power, ranged from 7.55 389 nW an incident electric field strength 1 V/m studied types, was obtained wavelengths comparable insects’ size.
